Slider repair pack for camping equipment
The camping pack includes Clip Zip sliders for repairing the various zips on your camping or hiking equipment.
So you'll have the most commonly used sliders on clothing or camping equipment: 4C, 45C, 5C, 8C and 10C (double slider).
The 10C slider is our only double tab slider, so it will be able to open a zip from the inside and the outside. Very practical for camping tents or sleeping bags!
A camping repair pack?
Camping or hiking gear can quickly get damaged due to weather conditions or over time. It's important to take care of it and be prepared in case of breakage or tearing.
Often, when repeatedly opening and closing the zip on a bag or tent, the slider can become deformed or too wide to close the teeth properly. Using equipment meant to last for several days can sometimes become frustrating.
Our camping pack has been specially designed to help you in the toughest situations:
- You finish your day's hiking and get ready for bed, but just as you're about to close your tent, you realize that the zip has reopened!
- You go hiking all day, and when you try to close your fully packed backpack, you realize that the zip is misaligned or that the slider is stuck!
- Or you pack your thickest jacket to face the day's weather and set off on an adventure, and when you zip it up you notice that the slider goes up but the zip stays wide open.
In many cases, our slider can provide you with a long-lasting and cost-effective solution! This pack includes the main sliders that repair nylon spiral zips. Zips of this type can be found on many items for hiking, camping, skiing, walking, climbing, etc.
The sliders that repair camping equipment
This pack contains sliders that are compatible with the zips on your tents (but not only!):
SLIDER | WIDTH(mm) | HEIGHT(mm) |
4C | 4,90-‐5,10 | 2,10-‐2,30 |
45C | 5,85-‐6,05 | 1,85-‐2,05 |
5C | 6,33-‐6,57 | 2,60-‐2,75 |
8C | 7,10-‐7,30 | 2,80-‐2,90 |
10C | 10,20-‐10,50 | 4,05-‐4,30 |
Here is a non-exhaustive list of different types of equipment (all brands included) that often include nylon spiral zips:
- Camping tents,
- Hiking backpacks,
- Backpacks?
- Laptop bags,
- Vests,
- anoraks, windproof coats,
- coveralls,
- Sleeping bags,
- etc
What's convenient about this pack is that you can repair zips of different sizes: small, medium and large. With just one pack, you can repair a sleeping bag, a tent, a hiking bag, a boot and any other item you want!
A little tip: the tab on the Clip Zip slider may seem small to you, so you might think of making it longer by adding a loop or something else. That would be a big mistake. The longer your pull tab is, the more likely you are to pull hard and in any direction, which can cause the slider to deform. Don't make your tab longer, your slider will last longer!
Clip Zip, the innovative product that repairs your zips

- A quick and easy repair!
Installing your Clip Zip slider on any zip takes just 3 steps and a few seconds. You'll need to remove the old slider, open the Zip Clip and then clip it onto the zip. We have an article showing you how to install the slider.
- An economical solution!
The principle of the Clip Zip slider is that it can be opened and clipped several times. It can therefore be used on several items from year to year. So you don't have to change all your zips. To unclip it, simply press the tab upwards while holding the body of the slider.
- A quality product!
All our sliders are manufactured in Europe. They are made of cast zinc, which is particularly resistant to weathering and wear over time. You can leave a Clip Zip installed on an outdoor zip all year round - it won't rust! Snow, rain, hail, heat - it can withstand any climate. Our sliders are guaranteed for 1 year!
- A solution adapted to your needs!!
There are so many different types of zip in the world. It can therefore be difficult to find a suitable slider for each type. We have provided a reference map that can be downloaded and printed out in actual size. You'll need to overlay it with the drawings and dimensions on the zip you want to repair.
It's now possible to repair your zip in less than a minute!
Spiral nylon zips
How do you recognize a nylon zip?
The images below will certainly help you. They correspond to nylon zips. Nylon zips have very fine, narrow teeth. You can easily distinguish them from plastic zips, which have a square base and a rounded end.
However, be careful not to confuse nylon zips with invisible zips. Invisible zips are basically nylon zips that are sewn inside out! If you look at them from the outside, you won't notice the teeth at all because fabric will cover them. On the other hand, if you look at them from the inside (inside out), you'll notice that the teeth are made of nylon.
