Clip&Zip slider repair pack for plastic teeth
Set of 4 Clip Zip sliders for repairing your broken, damaged or derailed plastic zips: 3B, 5B, 8B and 10B. (the 10A slider is a special slider because it is also suitable for large-mesh metal zipper). All are easy-to-install, clip-on sliders that replace the original slider on your zip. There's no need to unstitch your zip - simply remove the old slider and clip on a Clip Zip.
The advantage of this pack is that you'll have a very wide range of sliders to repair from the smallest to the largest of your zips. 4 sliders to clip quickly and easily onto broken zip fasteners on your down jackets, bags and lots of other items!
PLEASE NOTE : Black 8B is no longer available and will be replaced by another available colour.
Pack for repairing plastic zips :
It contains the following cursors: 5B, 3B, 8B, 10A.
- 3B : It is suitable for metal and plastic zips. This slider can be used to repair fly fasteners on jeans, trousers and skirts.
- 5B : It's the best-selling and most widely used slider! It fits many zips on jackets, coats, rucksacks, anoraks and many more.
- 8B : A larger but also very commonly used slider. It will repair sports bags, hunting vests, various equipment covers, and more.
- 10A : Our biggest slider. It repairs the largest zips: diving suits, work clothes, wetsuits, etc. It adapts to metal and plastic zips.
Overall, then, these are references that can be adapted to many of the zips we use in our daily lives, in both the private and professional sectors.
Clip Zip sliders have the unique feature of being clip-on and therefore reusable. If you install the 5B slider on your sports bag and after a while you have to throw the bag away, you can simply unclip the 5B slider and put it on a similar zip (size 5, plastic).
How to repair an anorak zip easily?
We say anorak, but it will be the same for all items compatible with the pack references, so repairs will be very quick.
- Firstly, the old slider must be removed using pliers.
- Next, open the Clip Zip slider using the small wedge supplied with your purchase.
- Then clip the new slider into the zip you wish to repair. Make sure that both rows of teeth are fully engaged in the slider when you close it.
If you don't manage to clip the Clip Zip slider onto the zip the first time, simply reopen it with the wedge, then put it back in place and close it again.
A manual is supplied with the pack.
Identifying a plastic zip
Plastic zips have teeth with a square base and a rounded end. These are rather large teeth compared with nylon. They are easy to recognize. Here are two examples of plastic zips.
These are zippers that are commonly found in everyday life, on items like puffer jackets, anoraks, bags, vests, and the larger ones are used on work coveralls or jumpsuits.
