How to fix a bag zip?
Repairing a zip may seem like a daunting task, but thanks to the revolutionary Clip Zip slider, it's now within everyone's reach:
- The first step is to remove the defective slider using pliers. If it has already fallen off, your zip is ready for the new slider.
- Next, you will need to open our Clip Zip slider. To do this, use the provided wedge, or if you don't have it, you can open it with your fingers or with a hard, pointed object. Be careful not to insert anything that could damage the slider.
- Place the Zlideon on the zip to be repaired, close it so that the two rows of teeth are joined, and you're done!
In the following video, we'll show you how to repair the zip on a metal handbag.
Recognize the different types of zip
Here are some examples to help you visualise metal, plastic and nylon zips.
In the first image (plastic zip), you can clearly see the teeth, which have a square base and a rounded end. The teeth of a metal zip are straighter and generally have a yellow colour. As for nylon zips, the teeth are very fine and tight, reminiscent of fishing line.

La réparation est efficace mais identifier la taille de la fermeture éclair et donc le bon repar-zip n’est vraiment pas simple. Le prix à l’unité est élevé.
